Searching

It seems we've been pretty lucky the past couple months. It finally seemed like we were making headway. We've been budgeting like crazy lately so we can save for some substantial expenses... aka law school, car repairs, emergency fund, etc but our luck has begun to wain. Yesterday I went into work with a job and left early without one. The layoff finally came. My position, and a co-worker's, was dissolved. It wasn't completely unexpected, I knew something was up when we began time tracking and task shifting, but I'd really hoped I wouldn't be among the ones laid off. Unfortunately I was. So the search is on. If you know of any fabulous openings, let me know.

  1. So sorry! I obviously probably won't be much of help, but I'll remember you guys in my prayers.

I didn't know Rob is going to go to law school. That's cool.

  6. Heather, I don't know about jobs in Utah, but if you aren't using www.indeed.com maybe you should check it out. I found it to be one of the best websites for searching for jobs in the area. Also, if you have a ward employment specialist, tell them you are looking, and ask them if they can help you in any way. Best wishes!

  7. Sorry about your job -- that really sucks. If it’s any consolation I love your picture in this post, your hair and clothes are super cute. Doug's hiring... but I know Roosevelt's the last place on earth you (and Rob) would want to live. Can't blame me for trying... and beware, I may never give up. :)

  9. Oh Heather, I'm so sorry. I didn't see this until just now. I know you have been working so hard. You should send a resume to the law firm where I used to work. I know earlier this summer they were looking for someone.

    Here is their contact info:
