Yesterday we went to story time at the U of A bookstore. It was pretty amazing! They had crafts and coloring for the kids to do before the story. They sang and stretched and read a book. Then they had a high school dance group come and preform their version of the book Where the Wild Things Are. It was probably a 20 minute long dance. Molly was the only child that couldn't contain herself. She was up dancing around the room, following their modern dance moves. She was lifting her legs in the air and balancing, falling to the ground, and rolling around just like the dancers. She even ventured up to do her dancing in front of all the spectators. It was cute and a bit embarrassing since her little tush couldn't keep her pants up all the way and she was constantly showing a bit of crack.
After the performance the dancers taught the kids a part of the dance, so of course Molly was in heaven. At the end, Little Critter came to visit. It was a lot of fun for Molly and even Sophie got into it. As we left they passed out balloons and Molly insisted she have one for herself, one for Sophie, one for Mommy, one for Daddy and 2 more for good luck.
I'm glad we had Rob's phone to capture a few moments.
