Nixon Gets a Helmet

Nixon has plagiocephaly. Plagiocephaly is a fancy word for a flat head. He's been doing therapy (basically just keeping him off his head and giving him lots of tummy time) for a few months with out much of a change to his head shape. So he was referred to a new doctor to get a helmet.  I wanted to make sure I documented the shape of his head before he started wearing the helmet.
From the front you can't see it, but it's really noticeable from the side. Can you see how flat it is and how it kind of cones at the top?
You can really see how flat it is looking down!
Getting pictures of his head was not an easy one man job. He couldn't keep his eyes off me. I kept asking Molly to distract him, but she grew tired of the task real quick.
Nixon had his helmet appointment yesterday afternoon and has started wearing his helmet. He'll be working up to wearing it 23 hours a day over the next 5 days.
