Independence Day 2017 and the Fairy Forrest

For the 4th of July we drove up to my parents house and went to the Oakely Parade in the morning. My bother Logan and his family also came so it was even more fun.
We hung out, painted nails, threw pops (the small fireworks) , and had a late lunch.
In the afternoon we all headed up to the fairy forrest. We brought along a couple fairy houses and were surprised to find we couldn't get over the high water to the forrest on the other side. It took some scouting but we found a fallen tree that we all balanced across. There were some pretty close calls, but no one fell in.
The fairy forrest wasn't as good as last year, but I think it had something to do with it being really hard to access with the high river you had to cross.
After we headed home and lit a few sparklers and watched nearby fireworks. Both the girls were scared of the sparklers at first, but once Molly held one she was excited to do more. Sophie was terrified the whole time... half the time she hid in the garage.
